CDPSM is a company built on a rich long-distance fisheries tradition in Brittany which dates back to the 15th century. The company currently produces seafood products that are sold under different brands in more than twenty countries.
Since 1934, the company has evolved by constantly innovating new fishing techniques, adopting new processing methods and being alert to its customer's needs. Investments in the modernisation of vessels and production facilities have allowed the company to offer new recipes and adapt to its client's desires.
CDPSM is the only European crabstick producer that is also involved in fishing. The company currently operates three trawlers, the Joseph Roty II, producing surimi blocks; Ocean Tiger, producing raw and cocked shrimps; and the Emeraude freezer trawler, which the company co-owns and operates with Euronor, another Alda subsidiary. The Emeraude vessel catches Arctic cod and produces fillets frozen at sea. The vast majority of its catches are MSC-certified.
The surimi factory in Saint-Malo employs 170 people and has an annual production volume of around 8,000 tonnes. The surimi production represents about 50% of the company's revenue.
The CEO of Compagnie des Pêches Saint-Malo is Mr Florian Soisson.
