As Seagold has grown, its operations have diversified. Today, the company sells frozen-at-sea fillets and individually quick frozen and fresh products.
Seagold founded a factory in Grimsby in 2006, trading under the "Ice Fresh Seafood" brand. The operation has grown, moving to larger premises in 2017, and the factory currently produces approximately 2,000 metric tonnes of cod, haddock and smoked products each year. The factory employs around 50 people from the local area.
In 2018, Seagold extended its presence in the UK market by acquiring Collins Seafoods. Collins Seafoods has sold premium quality frozen-at-sea fillets from world-renowned vessels to wholesale and directly into the fish and chip trade for over 40 years. Collins Seafoods currently serves its customer base from two depots in the North of England, Newton Aycliffe (Durham) and Leeds (Yorkshire), and employs approximately 30 people across the two depots.
Today, the Seagold Group is one of the largest suppliers to the fish & chips industry in the UK. The company's head office is based in Hull in the heart of the UK's fishing industry.
