Baldvin Thorsteinsson (b. 1983) is the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Alda Seafood Holding and the company's largest shareholder.
Previously, Mr. Thorsteinsson held the position of Chairman of the Board at Eimskip from 2018 to 2022. Eimskip is a leading transportation company in the North Atlantic, specialising in worldwide freight services. Before his tenure at Eimskip, Mr. Thorsteinsson was the CEO of Iceland Drilling from 2013 to 2016 and the Managing Director of Business Development at Samherji in Iceland.
Mr Thorsteinsson has held board positions at Iceland Drilling, where he was Chairman, and at Olís – Icelandic Oil. In addition, Mr Thorsteinsson currently serves on the boards of several companies where Alda Seafood is a shareholder.
Mr Thorsteinsson holds a B.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Iceland.
