Haraldur Grétarsson (b. 1968) is a Member of the Supervisory Board of Alda Seafood Holding.
From 2001 to 2021, Mr Grétarsson was the Managing Director of Deutsche Fischfang Union GmbH, Germany's oldest fishing company and one of Alda's subsidiaries. During his tenure at Deutsche Fischfang Union, he played a significant role in managing the company's operations and contributing to its stability and success.
From 1998-2001 he was the Managing Director of Onward Fishing in Aberdeen. Before that, between 1992 and 1996, Mr Grétarsson worked for Samherji in Akureyri, where he held positions in business development and as executive assistant to the CEO.
Throughout his career, Mr Grétarsson has accumulated extensive experience and expertise in the seafood industry, particularly in resource management. His positions in different organisations have provided him with a diverse perspective on the industry and have contributed to his current role as a Member of the Supervisory Board of Alda Seafood Holding.
Mr Grétarsson holds a B.Sc. degree in Fisheries Sciences from the University of Akureyri in Iceland.
