Helga Steinunn Gudmundsdóttir (b. 1953) is a Member of the Supervisory Board of Alda Seafood Holding. She is also a shareholder in the company.
Ms Gudmundsdóttir was for several years a member of the Board of Directors at Samherji, one of the largest companies in the Icelandic fishing industry. She has been active in the Icelandic sports community for decades and has held various executive and confidentiality positions for Icelandic sports clubs and organisations.
Ms Gudmundsdóttir was Chairman of Akureyri Football Club (KA) from 1998 to 2005. She was made an honorary member of KA in 2008 and was awarded the gold medal of KA in 2005. Ms Gudmundsdóttir was elected to the Board of the National Olympic and Sports Association of Iceland (ÍSÍ) in 2006, where she served until 2017, of which she was vice-president of the organisation from 2013-2017. Ms Gudmundsdóttir was Chairman of the ÍSÍ Working Group on the Travel Fund of Sports Associations from when the fund was established in 2007 until 2017. Furthermore, she was a member of various ÍSÍ committees and councils during her board tenure. Ms Gudmundsdóttir was the Chairman of the organisational committee of the Games of the Small States of Europe in 2015.
In 2021, Ms Gudmundsdóttir was made an honorary member of the National Olympic and Sports Association of Iceland. She holds a degree in educational consulting (barnevenspedagog) from Norway.
