This would not be possible without the sustainable use of resources our companies are entrusted with, ensuring their continued utilisation for future generations. We require our companies to engage only in responsible fishing practices, guided by the best scientific advice available at all times. Additionally, we promote sustainable and environmentally friendly fishing methods.

Reducing our carbon footprint one step at a time

Many of the companies under Alda Seafood's Group have operations that demand high energy for both fishing and processing. Our companies regularly enter into investment contracts for the renewal of vessels, and these ships are always designed in close collaboration with our companies. Newer vessels are more environmentally friendly because they are more energy-efficient and use less fossil fuel than older ships. In line with our commitment to energy efficiency, we also prioritise investing in advanced technology and equipment that consume less energy.

Total utilisation

We emphasise utilising all by-products to get the most value from the raw material processed at any given time. Our operations are constantly being reformed to enhance the utilisation of fish products.

Recycling

Waste management is essential when considering the operation's impact on the environment. Alda Seafood emphasises waste reduction, waste sorting, and responsible waste disposal. Increasing recycling plays a significant role in mitigating negative environmental impacts. Alda Seafood encourages all companies within the group to prioritise recycling wherever possible.

Our Sustainability Reports

On April 4th 2023, Alda Seafood Holding published its first-ever Sustainability Report. The report contains information about revenue and the non-financial impacts of the companies in the group for the reporting period January 1st 2021, to December 31st 2021.

On January 23rd 2024, Alda Seafood published its second Sustainability Report, covering the 2022 reporting period.

The primary purpose of these reports is to give our partners, customers, other stakeholders, and the public an accurate overview about the non-financial impacts of our operations.
