PAOP sponsors Poland’s leading windsurfer

PAOP (Coldstore Gdańsk) recently signed a sponsorship agreement with Pawel Tarnowski, Poland's leading windsurfer, who is preparing for the summer Olympics in Paris next year. Tarnowski has been displaying the Coldstore Gdańsk logo on his sail and other gear during recent competitions.

Tarnowski, a Polish Olympic national team member, has won multiple world and European championship titles in windsurfing since starting to compete in the adult category in 2013. As a teenager, Tarnowski showcased his skills at the highest levels, securing multiple gold medals in the Junior World Championships.

Tarnowski has been an extreme sports enthusiast from a young age. He values precision, dynamics and speed in all forms and has been recognised for his professionalism. His highest ambition is to win the gold medal at the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris 2024, dedicating himself relentlessly to making this personal dream a reality.

Tarnowski has also used his position as an elite athlete to support vulnerable groups and has been involved in voluntary work devoted to people with disabilities through the Order of Malta. Tarnowski is a married father of one and a graduate of the Faculty of Management and Economics at the Gdańsk University of Technology.

Training near the cold storage facility

Coldstore Gdańsk began its collaboration with Tarnowski last summer, but for years, the company's employees have been watching him train in the area near the cold storage facility and have witnessed his dedication and professionalism.

Maciej Kisiel, the CEO of Coldstore Gdańsk, says the company is a proud sponsor of Tarnowski because he is a role model for the younger generations and embodies all the values the company respects and promotes.

"Pawel Tarnowski is not only a leader in his sport of windsurfing but also a role model for sportsmen across genres and for young people in general. It is an absolute honour for us to be able to support him in his journey to the Summer Olympics in Paris and beyond," says Kisiel.

When the agreement with Tarnowski was announced, the following video was made celebrating the partnership and his remarkable talent on the windsurfing board.

The championship windsurfer joins a group of Polish athletes currently sponsored by Coldstore Gdańsk. Among them is a local professional volleyball team, Trefl Gdańsk, competing in the Polish Plus Liga, one of the world's top three competitive volleyball leagues.
