The Supervisory Board is legally responsible for supervising the policy pursued by the directors and the general course of affairs in the company and its business. The Supervisory Board also advises the directors as often as needed.
The Supervisory Board members were nominated by the directors of Alda or directly nominated by the shareholders, interviewed for the roles, and then appointed by Alda's general meeting. The following individuals were appointed:

Mr Jan Louis Burggraaf
Mr Thorsteinsson was the Managing Director of Alda Seafood Holding from 2019-2022 and is the company's largest shareholder. Previously, Mr Thorsteinsson was the Chairman of the Board of Eimskip from 2018 to 2022.
Ms Gudmundsdóttir is one of the shareholders of Alda and has a vast experience as a board member of companies in Iceland. Mr Haraldur Grétarsson is the former Managing Director of Deutsche Fischfang Union GmbH, Germany's oldest fishing company and one of Alda's subsidiaries.
Mr Burggraaf is a seasoned veteran Dutch company lawyer specialising in mergers and acquisitions. Over the past years, Mr Burggraaf has advised multiple large companies, banks, and government institutions on leading transactions.
